She slept with Jamie Tate and found out she was pregnant with their son, Thomas, but he wanted nothing to do with either of them.
Last year, she embarked on a new relationship with male nanny Nicky, but was left heartbroken when she found out he is actually gay and was only pretending to love her as part of his dad Caleb’s dastardly plan to get one over on Kim Tate.
In recent weeks, Gabby has been encouraged to spend time with Vinny Dingle after he revealed to Paddy Kirk that he felt lonely.
Vinny has had an even worse time than Gabby when it comes to relationships, following the tragic death of his wife Liv Flaherty during the storm that struck Emmerdale village in 2022.
After hearing how her son felt, Mandy asked Gabby to spend some time with Vinny in order to cheer him up.
Gabby and Vinny enjoyed each other’s company in the Hide but Vinny misread the situation and kissed Gabby.
He was left mortified when it became clear that she didn’t feel the same.
But later, Laurel gave Gabby some food for thought when she suggested that Gabby should break away from her usual type in men.
It seems Gabby has taken her words to heart as in upcoming scenes, Vinny and Gabby bond over drinks and soon the pair find themselves kissing.
Later, Vinny gets flustered when Gail admits she knows he’s a virgin and offers to help but feeling the pressure, Vinny snaps and calls things off with Gabby.
Embarrassed, Gabby exits and Vinny is left riddled with guilt…
Will the pair be able to find a way forward and allow love to blossom?
