A Hollywood star left locals stunned over the weekend after being spotted wandering around Barry in Wales.
The seaside town is best known by comedy fans as the hometown of Gavin and Stacey, but it was Shia LaBeouf taking a stroll and posing for pictures with residents.
No, he’s not been secretly filming for a cameo in the upcoming last ever episode (that we know off…) – the 37-year-old Indiana Jones actor has been filming his new movie Salvable in Barry Island.
The movie follows an ex-boxer in his 40s who gets a fresh chance at reviving his career in underground fights.
Funnily enough, we’re not sure Uncle Bryn would fit into that one – but we’d love to see it!
Instead, Shia stars in the film with Toby Kebbell in the lead role, and This Is England’s Michael Socha, with the cast spotted in tattoo studio Tattoorana.

The store’s owner Bianca Oliveira said: ‘Shia LeBeouf was sitting on my couch in my studio where my clients sit – it was madness.
‘My brain is still processing the whole thing. Shia was extremely busy filming, but he was very nice – they were all absolutely lovely.’
The crew enjoyed a free chippy from the brilliantly named Fryer Tuck, and it’s said Toby was seen working out in a boxing gym nearby.

Shia has faced turmoil in his personal life after his ex-girlfriend FKA twigs filed a lawsuit in 2020 accusing him of sexual battery and physical and verbal abuse, which he has denied.
In his professional life, the actor’s latest film, the scifi epic Megalopolis, has debuted at Cannes Film Festival to dreadful reviews and a low score on Rotten Tomatoes.
From acclaimed director Francis Ford Coppola, the ‘Roman Epic fable’ has been in the early stages of production since the 1980s, and the $120million (£94million) passion project has finally had its world premiere.

Despite the forty-year process, the crude, vulgar, at times incestuous, and fast-paced extravaganza seems to have landed far from perfection.
Initially debuting on the official film review site Rotten Tomatoes at a mere 38%, it has slowly climbed to a mixed 52% at the time of writing, despite an all-star cast including Shia, Driver, Aubrey Plaza, Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman.
The Metro.co.uk review dubbed it ‘one of the worst films I’ve ever seen’, adding: ‘Megalopolis is by far the most startling, grand and at times incomprehensible film that [Coppola has] made.’
