St. Luke School Pupils Have Revolutionary Experience
St. Luke Catholic SchoolSOUTHINGTON, CT — Fifth-graders at a local Catholic school had a revolutionary experience learning about life before the Declaration of Independence.St. Luke Catholic School's fifth-grade class was recently treated to a presentation by Revolutionary War re-enactor Tom Angels. "The experience allowed the students to travel back in time and Colonial American History came alive," said St. Luke Principal Jim Messina in a release.He said the visit by Angels, who is part of the 5th Connecticut Regiment, allowed students to make many connections and see their textbook knowledge demonstrated in the lives of our nation's predecessors.
