Kathleen Gati Reveals the Title of Her New Movie!
Fans were intrigued back in March when General Hospital fan fave Kathleen Gati (Obrecht) teased that she was working on “a beautiful movie” but couldn’t say more at the time because of non-disclosure agreements. A month later, she reported that she had returned from Europe but could only reveal that the film was set during World War II. However now, she’s finally able to reveal exactly what this mystery project is!
“I can now announce the name of the feature film I had the pleasure of working on,” Gati shared on social media. “Desperate Journey. With an amazing cast: Steven Berkoff, Lucas Lyngaard Tonnesen, Sienna Guillory, Ed Stoppard, Clara Rugaard, Anna Mawn, Louis Serkis, Til Schweiger, Fernando Guallar, George Sear, and more!
“Beautifully directed by Annabel Jankel,” she continued, “wonderfully produced by Warren Derosa, and poignantly written by Michael Radford.”

Desperate Journey, which recently wrapped production, is based on the true story of Freddie Knoller (played by Tonnsen), a young man who was forced to flee Vienna as Nazi hysteria took hold in the ‘40s. “Freddie faced extreme situations and emerged with an understanding of life that could benefit us all,” producer Derosa told Variety. “He was an exceptional man, and I am deeply grateful to the large crew and cast who worked tirelessly to portray this remarkable story.”
