Police Cracking Down On Seat Belt Violations In Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Wallingford Police Department will be participating in the upcoming campaign to step up enforcement of seat belt laws across Connecticut.“In an effort to reduce the chance for motor vehicle accidents resulting in injury, Connecticut’s Law Enforcement agencies intend to promote safe driving and increase the protection of all motorists,” police wrote in a news release. “As we approach Memorial Day weekend and the unofficial start of the summer season, in the course of the next several weeks, the Wallingford Police Department will participate with other law enforcement officials across the State of Connecticut to enforce the State’s Occupant Protection Laws and issue citations for those who are unbuckled.“Funding for this effort has been made possible by the Wallingford Police Department’s participation in a State of Connecticut Department of Transportation Highway Safety Enforcement Grant.
