Taunton man accused of selling thousands of fake pills to undercover cop
TAUNTON, Mass. (WPRI) — A Taunton man was arrested Tuesday morning for allegedly selling counterfeit pills to an undercover officer, U.S. Attorney Joshua Levy announced.
Shavon Gurley, 29, who also goes by "Soo Soo," is charged with possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine.
Police said they searched Gurley's home and car and found a loaded gun, fentanyl, and about 10,000 counterfeit Adderall pills containing methamphetamine.
Earlier this month, Gurley sold 6,000 counterfeit Adderall pills to an undercover officer while on pretrial release for a domestic violence offense, according to prosecutors.
He also allegedly told the officer that he sells fentanyl so pure that it can be mixed into larger quantities of other drugs.

According to prosecutors, Gurley complimented the officer's "aura" and suggested they do business together in the future.
Gurley was detained following his first appearance in federal court and is scheduled to appear again on Aug. 27.
The charge he faces carries a penalty of 10 years to life in prison, up to a lifetime of supervised release, and a fine of up to $10 million, the U.S. attorney's office said.
Charging documents indicated that Gurley has a lengthy criminal history, including a conviction for assault and battery in 2012.
