Customs Agents Arrest GA Man On Armed Robbery Charges

ATLANTA, GA — U.S. Customs agents recently arrested a Georgia man in New York after it was discovered a warrant for armed robbery and aggravated assault was active against him. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection on Tuesday said officers arrested Djamilou Sebabe, 27, Monday at the Port of Buffalo, Peace Bridge border crossing, in New York. The warrant against Sebabe was from Atlanta Police, authorities said. Sebabe, a U.S. citizen, was entering the States in a passenger vehicle at the time of his arrest, authorities said. During an exam, authorities said officers found a National Crime Information Center match that showed the active warrant.Officers verified both the warrant and Sebabe's identity for confirmation, authorities said.Sebabe was then turned over to the Buffalo (New York) Police Department and was being held at the Erie County Holding Center until he is extradited to Georgia, authorities said.“Our CBP officers are dedicated to upholding our primary border security mission and work hard in identifying and intercepting wanted criminals,” acting Buffalo (New York) Port Dir.
