Bengaluru: After several days and dry and hot weather, the city witnessed a spell on rain on Thursday leading to traffic disruptions in many areas. People took to X and shared visuals of the showers while updates of waterlogging in Jayanagar and KR Market among others have also been reported.The city has been witnessing dry weather for quite some time and the officials attributed the rising temperatures to limited rainfall, an extended dry spell, and clear skies, which have allowed heat to accumulate.The India Meteorology Department (IMD) earlier predicted a cloudy sky with thundershowers and one or two spells of rain.
