“Today Kaulig Racing announces the addition of NASCAR industry veteran Ty Norris to the team,” Kaulig said in a statement. “Norris will serve as the team’s Chief Business Officer, focusing on partnerships and long-term strategy alongside owner Matt Kaulig and team President Chris Rice. Bringing Norris and his wealth of knowledge to the executive team is one of the several major moves Kaulig and Rice are making to solidify the trajectory of its NASCAR Cup Series program well into the future.”
Ty Norris lands executive gig at Kaulig Racing
Norris has nearly three decades of executive experience in NASCAR. He started with Dale Earnhardt, Inc. in 1996, and later held roles with Speedway Motorsports, Inc., Michael Waltrip Racing, Spire Sports + Entertainment and Trackhouse.
Norris helped transform Trackhouse from an upstart team into a race-winning organization. The trio of Ross Chastain, Daniel Suárez and Shane van Gisbergen have combined to win seven races in Trackhouse’s four-season tenure.
“We greatly appreciate the role Ty Norris has played in the creation and growth of Trackhouse Racing. We have a bright and exciting future thanks to his contributions. Wish our friend the best of luck,” Trackhouse owner Justin Marks said.
Norris will look to help bring success to Kaulig, a two-car race team undergoing a shakeup in 2025. AJ Allmendinger will pilot the No. 16 Chevrolet, while the driver of the No. 31 car is to be determined. Daniel Hemric currently has the seat. He, however, is not under contract for next season.
