RCSD: Man arrested after shooting fiancée multiple times

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – A man is behind bars after shooting his fiancée multiple times, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
On May 24, 2024, at approximately 8:00 pm, deputies responded to a residence at the 5400 block of Bluff Rd in reference to a shooting incident. Investigators say deputies arrived and located the victim. The victim had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the lower body and was taken to a local hospital.
After further investigation, it was determined that the victim was shot by her fiancé, Braden Robinson. Robinson had left the incident location and was located by RCSD investigators later the same night.
The events that led to the shooting are still under investigation.
According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, Robinson was charged with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime. He was transported to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center without further incident and is currently detained.
