Reunion hopes grow in Emmerdale as Robert and Aaron share warm scene

Things have been tense between the former husbands since Robert (Ryan Hawley) returned to disrupt Aaron’s (Danny Miller) wedding to estranged half-brother John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) in Emmerdale.
Declaring war on his sinister half-brother (who also happens to be his ex-husband’s new husband), Robert has found himself continuously on the backfoot in his effort to expose John and win back Aaron.
Robert came dangerously close to exposing his killer sibling, though John manages to turn the tide with a well placed listening device, leading to a revelation that destroys Robert’s reputation amongst the villagers and puts him squarely at odds with Ross Barton (Michael Parr) and Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb).
A defeated Robert has an uncomfortable encounter at the shop, which leads to John leaving.

Desperate to clear the air, Robert implores Aaron to talk.
When a vulnerable Robert hints at leaving, Aaron’s conscience is pricked and he tenderly reassures him his ex that he’s valued in the village, giving Robert hope and convincing him to stay.
Later, Moira confronts Robert about her land, the animosity amplified as a result of John’s listening device, but leaves when Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) arrives.
When confronted by his suspicious sister, Robert hits her with a massive proposal: that they farm Annie’s field together.
Can Victoria trust Robert enough to go into business with him?
