Stefon Diggs’ Minneapolis Miracle partner drops truth bomb on Texans reunion
The Houston Texans are going all in on the 2024 season. Houston has QB C.J. Stroud on his rookie contract, which means they can deploy the salary cap space they would’ve spent on a franchise QB on other parts of the roster. One of the players that Houston brought in this offseason is former Vikings and Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs. He will have at least one familiar face on the Texans who helped him with the Minneapolis Miracle.
Backup QB Case Keenum, whom Diggs knows from his days with the Minnesota Vikings, spoke glowingly about Diggs during a recent interview.
“Yeah, it’s really cool to get back out there and see Stefon on the practice field and to watch him absolutely do some dirty things on some routes that I haven’t seen anybody be able to do,” Keenum said, via KPRC 2. “He’s a dynamic player and he hasn’t lost a step. If anything, he has gotten more savviness and can put some extra sauce on some routes when he needs to and win. He’s done a great job of continuing to build his craft and work his tools, his tool set, and I’m excited to see what he can do in the fall.”
For those unaware, the Minneapolis Miracle was a last-second prayer pass from Keenum to Stefon Diggs during an NFC divisional playoff game between the Vikings and Saints. The Vikings lost in the NFC Championship game against the Eagles, but the Minneapolis Miracle has lived on as one of the best moments in Vikings franchise history.
Case Keenum is currently the QB3 on the Texans behind Stroud and Davis Mills.
Stefon Diggs is chasing a Super Bowl ring with the Texans

Stefon Diggs shares the Texans’ attitude of being all in on the 2024 NFL season.
Diggs recently spoke with the media and shared his Super Bowl aspirations.
“I feel like I’ve been chasing the Super Bowl since I got in the league,” Diggs said via a transcript from the team. “To say like you get to one specific place and say this is where I want to try to win it, but this is where I’m at right now. Obviously, I believe in this team and the quarterback. Those are unspoken things that we all can assume.”
The Texans certainly have the talent to make a run at the Super Bowl. Houston has added a ton of talent this offseason that gives them the players needed to hang with the league’s best teams. The Texans added Joe Mixon, Stefon Diggs, Ben Skowronek, and Jawhar Jordan on offense, upgrading their starters and providing depth at all skill positions. They also added crucial defensive pieces like Danielle Hunter, Azeez Al-Shaair, Jeff Okudah, Kamari Lassiter, and Calen Bullock.
Diggs made sure to add that you have to take things one game at a time.
“For me, chasing a ring, it isn’t like I came here to chase it,” Diggs said. “I came here to win and that starts with game one. Moving forward, of course, you want a ring.”
We can’t wait to see the Houston Texans compete for a Super Bowl appearance later this fall.
