Defensive observations after Ohio State June 5 recruiting camp
COLUMBUS — Ohio State hosted its first recruiting camp of the summer and it was one of the best lineups in quite a while.
The Buckeyes hosted numerous On300 prospects in the 2026 cycle and are finding more answers than questions for the offensive line board.
Lettermen Row dives into some camp observations about the defensive prospects immediately following the day.
Bralan Womack
Four-star Brandon (Miss) Hartfield Academy safety Bralan Womack made his debut Ohio State visit on Wednesday with the intention of earning an offer.
Mission accomplished.
Womack was very impressive tracking the ball as both a high-safety and a nickel. He competed against wide receivers and tight ends, locking up any competition. The 6-foot-0.5, 200-pound safety is the No. 30 overall prospect and the No. 3 safety in the On3 Industry Rankings.
Lettermen Row has an exclusive interview with Womack that we will roll out soon.
Anthony ‘Ant’ Davis
Four-star Loganville (Ga) Grayson linebacker Anthony ‘Ant’ Davis was one of the more impressive linebackers working out for James Laurinaitis on Wednesday. He does look every bit of 6-foot-1, but man oh man is he a fast and athletic running back.
Davis had two interceptions during 1-on-1s, working against tight ends and running backs. Davis is looking to get up to Ohio State again this fall. Like Womack, Lettermen Row has an exclusive interview with Davis.
Davis is the No. 188 overall prospect and the No. 17 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings.
Victor Singleton
Four-star Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic cornerback Victor Singleton will sleep easy Wednesday night.
The No. 118 overall prospect and No. 11 cornerback per On3 finally earned his offer from the Buckeyes after an excellent camp workout. Lettermen Row joked with Singleton about a couple of dropped balls during individual work.
Nonetheless, the few dropped passes didn’t change the evaluation for Ohio State’s cornerback coach Tim Walton and head coach Ryan Day.
The Buckeyes have now offered two cornerbacks in Ohio with Singleton and Elbert Hill.
