THURSDAY MORNING (4th of July)
A little bit of a cooler feel to the air early Thursday morning, but we'll warm up quickly as we head towards mid-day with temps in the upper 70s and partly cloudy conditions.
The big 4th of July parade in Bristol is looking great with comfortable temps and a mix of clouds and sun.
THURSDAY AFTERNOON
A more humid feel to the air during the afternoon hours Thursday with dewpoints increasing towards the upper 60s. Overall afternoon highs will be just below average around 80 degrees.
Despite the added humidity and a cold front around, we don't really see too much in the way of rain showers or t'storms; however, one or two may be roaming around the area in the afternoon and evening.
LOOKING AHEAD
Friday may feature a shower or t'storm during the pre-dawn/early morning hours, but most of the day should be dry.
Humidity will be consistently higher right on through the weekend, with the continued chance for showers and a thunderstorm or two on both Saturday and Sunday.
HURRICANE BERYL
Jamaica is getting hit hard this afternoon and evening by Category 4 storm Beryl. The hurricane has winds as high as 145mph. Jamaica will get destructive winds, torrential rain and a dangerous storm surge.
From Jamaica, Beryl is expected to impact the Cayman Islands, then the Yucatan Peninsula (including Cozumel and Cancun), perhaps as a Category 2 Storm. Beryl is of no threat to us here in Southern New England.
