The Community Fund Of Darien Names New Executive Director
DARIEN, CT — The Community Fund of Darien (TCF) on Monday announced the appointment of Maggie Domont as executive director. Domont will succeed Janet King, who is retiring after six years at the helm of this premier grant-making organization addressing the basic needs of neighbors in Darien, Stamford and Norwalk. "Maggie brings her passion for community service, a proven record in fundraising, a background in community outreach, and lifelongconnections in Darien to The Community Fund of Darien," said TCF Board President Brandi Maniscalco in a news release. "We are thrilled to find a respected Darien native to continue to carry the torch of growth, success, and local impact experienced during Janet’s tenure."Domont is currently the Director of Stewardship of St. Luke's Parish, where she successfully ran seven years of annual appeals, served as the communications director, and hosted parish wide events, according to TCF.Previously, she worked at both Christie's and Sotheby's.Domont was born and raised in Darien and has a bachelor's degree from Princeton University. She and her husband have three daughters and live in Darien."Maggie's passion, humanitarianism, volunteerism, and vision for the future perfectly align with mission of The Community Fund of Darien to support and strengthen the communities of Darien, Norwalk, and Stamford so all community members can reach their full potential as healthy, educated, and self-sufficient individuals," TCF added in a news release.In anticipation of her new role, Domont said, "I am humbled to have such a dynamic role in my hometown that is energized by neighbors helping neighbors to ensure that we take care of each other and improve lives."Since 1951, TCF says has granted over $28 million to nonprofits and community initiatives, impacting thousands of lives in the community.
