Just when you think you’ve seen everything possible on America’s Got Talent, a two-year-old mathematician comes out and puts you in your place.
Season 19 of the hit competition is kicking off on May 28, with a new group of contestants ready to blow our minds.
Simon Cowell is heading up the judging panel once again, beside Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel, with Terry Crews hosting proceedings.
In a new teaser, they were stunned when Devan proudly waddled across the stage to a white board, armed with a little marker.
The snippet, obtained by People Magazine, showed the toddler, known online as Baby Dev, impressing the gang by doing his sums, while his dad watched on.
‘We are breaking records this season. We have the youngest contestant in the history of Got Talent,’ Howie declared.

‘He’s two-years-old, I mean, we couldn’t even do what this little boy did,’ supermodel Heidi praised as Sofia joked: ‘I can not even say mathematician.’
Elsewhere, the judges are witness to a stunning drone show, singers, dancing musicians who are literally on fire, stunt performers and acrobatics – to name just a few.
Teasing what viewers can expect, Simon insisted: ‘I would say we’re laughing more this year than last year. It’s very funny this year.
‘We’re seeing things, genuinely, I’ve never seen in my life.’

‘Everything you thought there was no way to top it, this season tops it,’ Howie added.
Thankfully, we don’t have long to wait as the new series will land on our screens in just a few weeks.
While Baby Dev might be new to the judges, he is already quite a big deal on TikTok, with videos showing off his maths skills regularly going viral, netting millions of views.
A clip posted in 2023 has been viewed nearly 40million times, and showed the little one correctly answering different sums at his whiteboard.

The parents in charge of the account previously shed light on his love of figures, and how they helped nurture this.
‘By 15 months he was writing numbers all on his own,’ they told one follower in the comments section.
‘Then we started teaching him simple math (1+1, 1+2). Then soon after progressed to subtraction, then a month later, multiplication then division.’
When asked whether Dev has a passion for other subjects, they added to another commenter: ‘Yes, he knows how to read and write too.
‘We just choose to focus on math here because that’s his first love. But we will probably include some reading/spelling videos soon as well.’

During an appearance on the Kelly Clarkson Show, the youngster’s dad previously told the host that this first word was actually ‘Seven’.
Duane recalled: ‘At four months old, we started showing Devan numbers, and we noticed when we would change the channels and the shows, he would start to cry, and when we would change it back, he would stop crying.
‘At one, we brought a writing tablet, and we would practice writing numbers while holding his hands and saying it aloud.
‘Soon after that, he was able to write numbers all on his own.’
American Idol season 19 begins on May 28 on NBC.
