WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross was hospitalised on Thursday after struggling with his breathing.
The iconic 72-year-old broadcaster, who was the voice of the Attitude Era and has been involved with rival company All Elite Wrestling (AEW) since its launch in 2019, has faced a myriad of health issues over the past few years.
Ross, known to fans around the world as Good Ol’ JR, has also still been undergoing treatment to wounds after been diagnosed with skin cancer, which he overcame in 2021.
On Thursday, JR revealed he had was taken to hospital ‘unexpectedly’, but did not given any further details about what’s to come.
He wrote on X: ‘Unexpected trip to ER in Norman this morning. Shortness of the breath. That’s all for now.’
Several wrestlers across WWE and AEW have replied to send prayers and messages of support to the pioneer, who was inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame in 2007.

Earlier this year, he took to social media to update his loyal fans on the latest procedure, and thanked everyone for sending their support his way during his struggles.
He wrote: ‘Had cancer surgery this morning on my right hip. All went well. Thanks for all your love & support! 🤠💕’
