‘Is it from her Primark collection?’ Fashion fans savagely question Rita Ora’s Met Gala nude bodysuit
RITA ORA has been slammed for her Met Gala outfit, with many people asking if it is part of her Primark fashion range.
Last night’s Met Gala theme was ‘Garden of Time’, and was in conjunction with the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.

A-listers from across the globe, flooded to New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art to show off their looks at the prestigious fashion event.
From Cardi B taking up the entire red carpet with an enormous black tulle ball gown, to Sydney Sweeney debuting a brand new hairstyle, fans were wowed by many of the outfits worn by the exclusive list of invitees.
However, musician Rita Ora, was one celebrity that many were not impressed by.
The Black Widow singer opted to wear a nude jumpsuit for the event, paired with a dress made from hundreds of beads, which hung from her neck by a wire, almost as if it was a necklace.
The look was designed by Italian designer Marni and the singer explained in an Instagram post the dress “encapsulates in the most delicate and powerful manner a real tapestry of human crafts spanning a period of two millennia from Egypt to Rome.”
Rita explained that the dress is made of antique glass beads from all over the globe and told Entertainment Tonight that they date back to the first and second century BC.
She added: “It’s about the beauty of the body and women’s existence and presence, and not doing as much, but also doing a lot”.
Despite the fact that the dress was made from materials that are thousands of years old, some people questioned whether the look belonged to her fast-fashion Primark collection.
Taking to X, one person said: “How is Rita Ora at the met gala?
“Wonder if this is from her Primark collection”.
Another person said: “Rita Ora serving Primark, can we pan back to Ayo Edibiri please?”
A third added: “Will this be released in her Primark collection? “
Primark has released three collections in collaboration with Rita Ora, with the latest being released in March 2024.
What is was the theme of the 2024 Met Gala?
The theme of the 2024 Met Gala is The Garden of Time, which draws inspiration from the latest exhibition of the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, titled Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.
Her spring collection incorporates lots of floral and denim designs, and 60% of the range contains recycled or more sustainable materials.
Joining Rita at the event was her husband, New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi, who was also dressed in Marni.
The What We Do In The Shadows star opted for a brown leather suit, paired with a bold diamond necklace.
The Met Gala takes place every year on the first Monday in May and is widely regarded as the worlds’ most prestigious fashion event.
It is organised by Vogue and each year celebrates the theme of the year’s Costume Institute exhibition.
Invitees are often culturally relevant celebrities and a ticket to the event costs £60,000 ($75,000).
