All the celebs ‘bombarded’ by Baby Reindeer’s ‘real Martha’ Fiona Harvey

It’s been quite the month for those involved in the real-life story behind Netflix smash hit Baby Reindeer.
Created by Richard Gadd, 34, the popular drama series is said to be based on a true story, following his character Donny after meeting a woman named Martha who slowly becomes obsessed with him.
After an initially friendly and innocent encounter, Martha’s actions soon turn sinister as she begins waiting outside Donny’s house, sending him numerous emails, and harassing members of his family.
Since the series debuted on Netflix, sleuths apparently tracked down the ‘Real Martha’, who is believed to be a woman called Fiona Harvey.
In an interview with Piers Morgan, Fiona, 54, a lawyer, vowed to challenge Richard Gadd and Netflix in the courts, denying that many of the events depicted in the series even took place.
But it seems Richard isn’t the only person to have come into unwanted contact with Fiona, with several big names apparently receiving unsolicited communication from her in the past.

Where else can we start?
Richard Gadd has been revealing details about his unfortunate encounter with the ‘real life Martha’ (who appears to be Fiona Harvey) since he first debuted his one-man comedy show at the Edinburgh Fringe.
During his ordeal, Richard claimed to have been sent thousands of emails, to have been stalked outside of his home, and that members of his family, including his girlfriend at the time, were harassed.
Fans of the Netflix adaptation were so concerned for him after watching the series that he had to assure them that everything is going alright for him these days.
However, since the series debuted, and the ‘real life Martha’ has come forward, sleuths on social media quickly identified Fiona as the potential inspiration for Martha in the series.
In an interview with Piers Morgan, Fiona lashed out against Richard’s depiction of events in the series and has threatened to sue Netflix.
Janey Godley

Scottish stand-up comedian Janey Godley realised that, after Fiona Harvey’s appearance on Piers Morgan’s Uncensored, she had also been hounded by the ‘real life Martha’ at one stage.
On Piers Morgan’s show, Fiona said: ‘[Baby Reindeer] is a work of fiction, a work of hyperbole. I wanted to rebut that completely on this show – I am not a stalker, I have not been to jail, I’ve not got injunctions – it is complete nonsense.’
But the 63-year-old comedian Janey revealed soon afterwards that Fiona had been replying to several of her tweets over the years – many of which were about the Labour Party.
One such tweet asked Janey, ‘DM me, it’s pretty urgent’, while another said she missed Janey’s show at a comedy festival as a result of an ear infection.
A video recorded on the comedian’s phone revealed that she had been sent over 20 tweets by the Fiona Harvey account before it ceased being active in 2018.
Despite Janey’s comments being made last week, Fiona is yet to publicly respond to any of her statements on social media.
Sir Keir Starmer

Claims have been made in the last 24 hours that Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer was ‘bombarded’ by over ‘200 chilling emails’ by Fiona Harvey.
According to reports in The Sun, Fiona sent several emails to Sir Keir, calling him a ‘non job’, a ‘stupid little boy’, and a ‘useless barrister’, even threatening to report him to community watchdogs. She added in one: ‘Your life won’t be worth living.’
The publication also reported that, in the emails, she laid into his Labour colleague Angela Rayner, calling her ‘an imbecile’, and also insulted his wife Victoria.
It’s said that all the emails were all sent between January and August 2020, with the majority being sent immediately after Sir Keir took over the role as Labour leader, during the height of the pandemic.
Fiona is yet to publicly respond to these reports.
Laura Wray

Laura Wray, the widow of former Labour MP Jimmy Wray, has admitted to being worried that Fiona Harvey will ‘come for her again’ after the release of the Netflix series Baby Reindeer.
She’s admitted to fearing for her own safety and told The Mirror that, despite not thinking about Fiona for years, the success of one of Netflix’s biggest shows of the year has left her worried again.
‘My partner and I are concerned about what she might do next. Is she going to come after me? She is posting things on Facebook accusing me of all sorts, and of being abusive. You don’t know where it will end.’
She continued: ‘If she does have any friends, surely they should be trying to help her and calm things down. But she doesn’t want to calm things down. Part of her is really enjoying this.’
Fiona, however, has denied harassing Laura and Jimmy – who died in 2013, aged 78 – saying they were merely political rivals.
