2026 ATH Jordan Vann Lands First Power Four Offer in Kentucky
Jordan Vann had a phone call with Kentucky’s associate head coach Vince Marrow on May 9. During that call, Vann was offered by Kentucky, marking his first Power Four offer.
The 6-foot-1, 198-pound defensive back from Middletown (OH) told KSR+ that the offer was “exciting.” It was a short call, but meaningful.
“Kentucky is a really nice offer, so I was excited for sure,” he said. “[Coach Marrow] said he liked my film and my size and he wanted to give me a scholarship.”
Vann was on campus at Kentucky over the winter to watch a practice. It was his second time visiting after attending a camp over the summer.
“I like the intensity of their practices and how the players and coaches interacted together,” he said.
While Marrow didn’t talk with him about a visit, Vann said he’d like to make a return trip. There are still some things he wants to see.
“I’d like to see how the players interact with the coaches a little bit more and see how they play together,” Vann said. “I’d like to see the everyday life of what it’s like to be a student at Kentucky.”
Despite being listed as an athlete, Kentucky is recruiting Vann as a strong safety or nickel. He believes he’d fit in well.
His Wider Recruitment
Jordan Vann is just a sophomore. It hasn’t been until recently that he’s really seen his recruitment start to grow.
“Now, it’s starting to pick up, especially with the Kentucky offer,” he said.
Vann said the other two Power Four schools that have shown interest are West Virginia and Pitt. They’re “reaching out the most.”
“I was at West Virginia about a week ago for their spring game,” Vann said. “We were at Toledo, Miami (of Ohio) and Cincinnati.”
Vann has no upcoming visits set. He’s hoping to plan some soon.
“I want to find a system that fits me and where the coaches trust in me,” he said.
Jordan Vann’s Game
2026 athlete Jordan Vann of Middletown (OH) is not currently ranked by On3 or the On3 Industry Ranking. he considers his physicality and tackling ability to be his greatest strengths.
“I want to improve in my coverage,” he said.
Vann is still a few years away from college, but he already knows what scheme fits him best. He’d like to play in a 4-2-5 formation.
