Diddy has recently been at the center of speculation after allegations Cassie made in a lawsuit in November 2023 came to light.
Cassie was at the receiving end of several harsh jabs before Diddy threw her on the floor, and kicked her as she lay motionless, according to the video.
In the video, the rapper collects her bag and purse and continues his assault as he proceeds to drag her across the elevator bank into the hallway.
The incident took place in a hotel hallway on March 5 2016, according to the dates shown on the surveillance footage.
Days later, Cassie and Diddy stepped out in public for an event at the ArcLight Hollywood and walked hand in hand.
The photos were taken March 7 2016 and a few bruises could be seen scattered over Cassie’s legs.
She donned a green quilted mini dress that featured a plunging neckline.
The dress cut just below her butt and exposed her long legs.
She appeared to have a bruise on her right thigh and calf as well as one on the front of her left calf.
Diddy walked alongside Cassie in a full black suit with a gray tie.
The pair looked in love and at ease as they walked through the event escorted by security.
The security footage was obtained by CNN amid the ongoing legal battle the ex-couple was undergoing.
In her lawsuit, made in New York, Cassie alleged that in March 2016, an “extremely intoxicated” Combs “punched her in the face, giving her a black eye.”
LEGAL BATTLE
“Ms. Ventura tried to leave the hotel room, but as she exited, Mr. Combs awoke and began screaming at Ms. Ventura,” the court filing reads.
“He followed her into the hallway of the hotel while yelling at her. He grabbed at her and then took glass vases in the hallways and threw them at her, causing glass to crash around them as she ran to the elevator to escape.”
Diddy has previously denied Cassie’s claims.
Both parties settled the lawsuit a day after the documents were filed in federal court.
Cassie declined to comment to CNN on the unearthed video.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Diddy’s team for comment.
SPEAKING OUT
Since the footage made its rounds online, Cassie’s current husband, personal trainer Alex Fine, 31, shared an Instagram post about domestic abuse.
Alex’s social media post took the form of a written message dedicated to his wife and any woman suffering domestic abuse.
“Letter to women and children,” the post began.
“Men who hit women aren’t men. Men who enable it and protect those people aren’t men.”
He stated that “violence against women shouldn’t be inevitable” and encouraged people to check “your brothers, your friends, and your family.”
“Our daughters, sisters, mothers, and wives should feel protected and loved.
“Hold the women in your life with the utmost regard” before asserting, “Men who hurt women hate women.”
Recent lawsuits against Diddy
Diddy was hit with a wave of lawsuits in late 2023 and early 2024 with allegations of sex trafficking and sexual assault. He has denied all claims against him.
Cassie, Diddy’s longtime girlfriend, sued him in November 2023, claiming she endured “a cycle of abuse, violence, and sex trafficking” until their relationship ended in 2018. Diddy and Cassie settled the suit the day after it was filed.
Diddy was hit with two more lawsuits a week later. Joi Dickerson accused Diddy of drugging and raping her and filming the attack when she was a 19-year-old college student in January 1991.
A second accuser in a separate lawsuit claimed that Diddy and another man sexually assaulted her and a friend in 1990 or 1991 then showed up at her apartment and beat her several days later.
Diddy was sued again in December by a woman who claimed he and two men gang-raped her in 2003 when she was 17 years old.
In February 2024, Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones, who helped produce Diddy’s most recent album, claimed that the mogul sexually harassed, drugged, and threatened him from September 2022 to November 2023 as they worked together.
The professional bull rider then told the survivors of domestic abuse to “find the men and women who help and love.”
“To all the survivors, your stories are real and people believe you.”
“To all the survivors, you’re not alone and there are men and women who care only for your well-being and safety. We want you to succeed and flourish,” he continued.
“To all the women and children, I’m sorry to live in a world where you’re not protected and you don’t feel equal. I want to raise my daughters in a world where they are safe and loved,” Alex wrote.
Alex and Cassie, who married in 2019, share daughters Frankie, four, and Sunnie, two.
