The big news from DC's Superman costume reveal isn't the costume (it's the trunks)
1978's Superman: The Movie was sold on the tagline "You'll believe a man can fly", and 2025's Superman is built on a similiar premise.

While hidden in shadow, if you up the contrast on the image you can clearly make out the familiar red trunks of Superman that he has wore since the '30s - and the very same trunks that DC movies (and DC Comcis) abandoned a decade ago. DC gave Superman his red trunks back in the comic books back in 2018, but for DC movies it's taken a bit more.
But we're glad they're back.
