Trump ‘boomerang effect’ will make him president again & his popularity will skyrocket like Bill Clinton post Lewinsky
THE former president of the United States is officially a convicted felon after a Manhattan court found Donald Trump guilty on all 34 felony counts of a so-called hush money trial on Thursday, in a verdict that will be one of the most consequential political moments of the 21st Century.
So what happens from here? The 77-year-old Trump faces up to 136 years in prison.

Sentencing is set for July 11, which just happens to fall four days before the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The judge could very well put Trump in the notorious Riker’s Island prison. He could also order him to home confinement, which may mean he would not be able to attend his own party’s convention.
So before you believe Trump’s chances are finished, know this: The American public, not the blind partisans but those struggling with inflation and gas prices and crime, see right through this travesty.
As it stands now, Trump leads in every major swing state in the country on average. He leads in almost every national poll. And an overwhelming majority of Americans don’t like political persecutions at all.
How do we know this? Just look at the last two sitting presidents to be impeached: Bill Clinton in 1999 and Donald Trump in 2019.
In Clinton’s case, there was a popular president who had won re-election quite easily in 1996 and was cruising toward a legacy on level with Ronald Reagan.
Peace. Prosperity. Potentially eight years of economic growth, almost no conflicts abroad and a feeling of normalcy.
Slick Willie was set to go down as an all-time great president.
Instead, he had an affair with a White House intern named Monica Lewinsky, which became very public in 1998 through the Drudge Report.
There was her blue dress with ample “evidence.” There were cigars. And poetry from the sitting president to the young intern. What a mess.
But here’s the thing: Clinton’s poll numbers only skyrocketed after his affair with Lewinsky engrossed the American people on a daily basis.

Republicans, in retrospect, overplayed their hand in impeaching Clinton for attempting to cover up the affair.
Result: Clinton left with nearly 70 percent approval, an all-time high for any two-term president since polling began. Why? Because a solid majority of Americans saw his impeachment as political.
As for Trump, his numbers also went up following his first impeachment over a phone call he had with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding Trump’s call for an investigation of Joe and Hunter Biden for shady deals in that country.
Five years ago, Trump’s numbers also improved, albeit not as much as Clinton’s, but still in a positive direction. Why? Because the public saw the impeachment as political ahead of a presidential election.
Here’s a prediction: In polls taken post-guilty-verdict, expect to see Donald Trump’s numbers only go up while Biden continues to struggle.
What are Donald Trump's next steps?
A jury in New York City has found Donald Trump guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records to hide hush money he had paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election.
The first former US President to be convicted of a felony but remains the Republican frontrunner in his bid for the White House against Joe Biden.
Trump’s sentencing date is scheduled for July 11, 2024, however, his attorneys may try to push this until after the presidential election on November 5, which is unlikely to happen without good cause.
Trump, 77, is still allowed to speak to the press, travel outside the state, and continue his presidential campaign.
His guilty verdict also doesn’t automatically make him a convicted felon.
The charges against Trump are Class E felonies, the least serious category in New York law with each count carrying a maximum four-year prison sentence.
Trump could also pay fines and restitution as part of his sentence or face probation.
Judge Juan Merchan said he is weighing several factors regarding Trump’s sentence, including his age and lack of a criminal record, however, the former President’s actions during the trial could also play a role in the judge’s decision.
A guilty verdict doesn’t prevent Trump from running for president.
The US Constitution requires that potential US presidents be:
Natural-born US citizens
At least 35 years old
Have lived in the country for at least 14 years
Felons are not barred from holding office.
Why? Because this conviction in Lower Manhattan will also be seen as political ahead of a presidential election.
“This is far from over,” Trump declared after the verdict.
“The real verdict is going to be November 5 by the people who know what happened here.”
The betting markets have their money on Trump.
Polymarket, for example, a leading gambling site, has been offering up odds on who will win the U.S. presidential election.
On April 18 when the Trump trial began, Biden was seen as a two-point favorite. But after the Trump verdict came down, Trump was scored as an 18-point favorite.
The boomerang effect has officially begun.
Democrats will be celebrating tonight and throughout the weekend. They should read the tea leaves instead.
Because by doing this, they only helped make Donald Trump president once again in 2015.
