Days before the 2016 presidential election, Donald Trump said that someone involved in a federal investigation should be disqualified from the presidency, to avoid creating a "constitutional crisis."Trump is now convicted of 34 felony counts for hiding an unlawful scheme to corrupt that election, remains under felony indictment in three other cases, and is continuing to campaign for another term in the White House.

"If she were to win this election, it would create an unprecedented constitutional crisis. In that situation, we could very well have a sitting president under felony indictment and, ultimately, a criminal trial.
