Mom of an 18-year-old college freshman drives several hours to his dorm to scold his roommate about playing video games and inviting girls over: 'Should I go back and talk to the RA?'
When my sister and I were in college, my mom participated in her fair share of "Parents of the Class of 20XX" Facebook groups. While I went to a regular degular state school, my kid sister's school was much more full of rich kids and their parents who thought they could throw money at all of their kid's problems and they would magically go away. One time, a mom asked if someone would be willing to pick up her sick kids' prescription from the pharmacy, and one of the other moms actually volunteered her kid to do it. Another time, a parent asked about services where you could pay someone to clean your kid's dorm room. These kids have no sense of responsibility for themselves or no friends they can ask minor favors of. The anonymous posts from Purdue's Parent Facebook group recently went viral and are a sight to behold.
