The player, who hasn’t been identified, matched five numbers and just missed out on the jackpot worth a whopping $363 million.
Officials said the ticket was bought at a store in San Antonio, located around 30 miles from Tampa, per the Fox affiliate WOFL.
The Florida player defied odds of around one in 12 million to win the $1 million prize.
The player has around six months to come forward and redeem their prize.
But the timetable to claim prizes differs across the country.
Some winners must come forward within 90 days while others have a year.
Lawyers have revealed the steps winners should take before coming forward.
Florida attorney John Phillips urged winners to store the ticket in a waterproof and fireproof location.
He also recommended winners should sign the back of their ticket.
Lottery winners should call a lawyer or tax expert who can offer advice, according to the attorney.
He urged jackpot holders to screen people who ask for a share of their prize and urged winners not to be jerks.
Lotto players can test their luck by buying a ticket that costs just $2.
But they must defy the odds of more than one in 302.5 million to bag the life-changing sum.
By comparison, the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are one in 292 million.
