Hamm, 53, then noted that he and Wiig locked lips on their 2011 Paul Feig-directed comedy Bridesmaids, which she also co-wrote with Annie Mumolo."That was the last day of shooting," Wiig recalled of her kiss with the Mad Men alum, who played her Bridesmaids character Annie's casual love interest, Ted."Everybody knew each other, and I didn’t know anybody except for Paul and you," Hamm remembered. "So all of that stuff in the bed at the beginning of the movie? Everybody just wanted to leave. And we were goofing around."He also recalled Feig, 61, "yelling sex instructions" like " 'Put her leg over your shoulder!' ""We’re in naked bodysuits. Dumb and fun. And you and Annie made one of the best comedies of all time," Hamm told Wiig.

Bridesmaids also featured Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper and a breakout performance from Melissa McCarthy that earned her a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination. Wiig and Mumolo, 50, also landed a nod for Best Original Screenplay. And while the comedy was a gigantic hit at the box office — making more than $300 million globally, on a $32.5 million budget — Wiig shut down the possibility of a sequel in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, saying it has “never been a conversation.”“That story had an end, and it’s so beloved to me for 10 million reasons, and I think it’s okay to just have it exist in the world as it is,” explained the Saturday Night Live alum.Despite Wiig’s stance, her castmates have expressed openness toward a second film. As the cover star of PEOPLE's 2023 Beautiful Issue, McCarthy, 53, said at the time that she "would do a Bridesmaids sequel this afternoon, right now.""That group of women was the most magical thing ever," she recalled at the time. "Almost all of us were really good friends already. I think it was such a magical time." For more People news, make sure to sign up for our newsletter! Read the original article on People.
