Brady’s arrival has led to Olsen joining play-by-play commentator Joe Davis as part of Fox’s second broadcast team.
Since 2021, Olsen has been part of the network’s lead broadcast alongside play-by-by voice Kevin Burkhardt.
Brady has reportedly been preparing for his broadcasting debut in the fall.
This week, Olsen appeared on USA Today’s Sports Seriously show and revealed that he spoke with Brady about broadcasting.
“I had a chance to speak with Tom a couple of weeks ago, and he was just kind of picking my brain about the prep and the industry and what to expect and whatnot,” Olsen said to USA Today.
The 39-year-old continued, saying, “Every guy has their own journey in sports broadcasting.
“I think everyone thinks it’s easy.”
“I think everyone thinks getting up there and calling a live football game for three hours, off the cuff and being able to get in, get out, deal with the flow of the game, the players, the schemes, the terminology.
“There’s a lot going on during a game and I think some guys really transition to it well and take to it pretty quickly, and other guys haven’t.”
Olsen retired from the NFL in 2021 and made the impressive transition of becoming a popular broadcaster.
He was given the tough task of replacing the iconic Troy Aikman.
It won’t be unfamiliar for Olsen to work alongside Davis.
Both worked together during the 2021 campaign when Davis temporarily filled in for Burkhardt who had to work the World Series.
Brady will begin his new job this September.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion is expected to call his first game when the Dallas Cowboys play against the Cleveland Browns in Week 1 on September 8th.
However, Brady could be barred from the broadcast booth for the Las Vegas Raiders.
The 46-year-old is still in the process of acquiring a stake in the Raiders franchise.
Once the deal is finished, being a broadcaster of his own team would be deemed a conflict of interest for Brady.
The NFL has yet to place restrictions on the New England Patriots legend when it comes to his commentary gig on Fox, per ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio.
However, that could change when he becomes the Raiders’ minority owner.
Brady is set to buy between 5-10% of the Las Vegas team.
