Crowd boos Rob Schneider off the stage when he started telling anti-trans & anti-vaxx jokes

Transphobic comedian and actor Rob Schneider is in hot water again, after a Canadian medical nonprofit had to apologize for transphobic, sexist, and anti-vaccine “jokes” that Scheinder made during his performance at at a fundraising event on Saturday night that resulted in him getting booed off stage.
The Regina Leader-Post reported that “Schneider was roundly booed during his performance, which ended much earlier than planned.”

Hospitals of Regina Foundation issued a “sincere and unconditional apology” for Scheinder’s comments during his set, which occurred at their Four Seasons Ball. Attendee Tynan Allen told the CBC that “it was just very apparent how uncomfortable everyone felt and how unacceptable the things he was talking about were.”

“Everyone in the room was groaning, saying, ‘What is going on?’ Like whispering to themselves. Not a single laugh at times,” Allen said.
“While we recognize that in a free and democratic society individuals are entitled to their views and opinions and that comedy is intended to be edgy, the content, positions, and opinions expressed during Mr. Schneider’s set do not align with the values of our foundation and team,” the Hospitals of Regina Foundation said in a statement.
“We do not condone, accept, endorse or share Mr. Schneider’s positions, as expressed during his comedy set, and acknowledge that in this instance the performance did not meet the expectations of our audience and our team.”
Schneider is a known transphobe and anti-vaxxer. In 2021, he encouraged people to “just say no” to COVID-19 vaccines.
Schneider also claimed that transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney was taking part in “gender appropriation,” a term that suggests that trans people’s identities are not valid.

Meanwhile, Schneider himself has a long history of cultural appropriation, playing Asian, Native American, and Middle Eastern stereotypes.
Schneider also infamously played the role of a petty criminal who swaps bodies with a popular high school girl in the comedy “Hot Chicks,” a 2002 teen comedy with outdated and insensitive gender-bending stereotypes. Schneider spends nearly the whole movie dressing up as and pretending to be a teenage girl.
Allen said the hospital should have seen this coming. Schneider was similarily stopped from finishing his set Republican networking event last year, making it through less than a third of the way through before being cut off for alleged jokes about “Korean whore-houses.”
“He’s been anti-vaxx throughout the pandemic, and he’s said transphobic things for years,” Allen said. “I understand that you’re raising money, that you sometimes need to draw a crowd, but it doesn’t take a lot to vet people and specifically to vet people from a values-based perspective.”
