LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The City of Laguna Beach is in its first phase of developing a comprehensive Facilities Master Plan, and residents were urged to provide feedback at a community meeting on Thursday, May 16. The FMP will encompass a wide range of critical facilities, including the Laguna Beach Library, fire and police stations, marine safety stations, art facilities and parking lots. At the meeting, residents will help provide input by evaluating both current and future needs of the city with the hope of creating a plan that lays down a solid foundation for the growth and improvement of city services. "As our City continues to evolve, it's essential that we proactively plan for the future to ensure that our facilities can effectively support the needs of our residents and community," Mayor Sue Kempf said. "The Facilities Master Plan will provide a roadmap for strategic development and investment, helping us to create a vibrant and sustainable environment for all."Residents who attend the May 16 public meeting will discuss the following facilities:4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.: Laguna Beach Community & Recreation Center and Community & Susi Q Center.5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.: Festival of Arts Grounds and Playhouse.6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.: Laguna Beach Animal Shelter. 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.: Laguna Beach LibraryThe meeting will be held at the Susi Q Center starting at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 16.
