NEENAH, Wis. — It was a SCORETRACKER® shakeup with aftershocks reverberating until lines out during Friday’s Championship Round of the Knighten Industries Heritage Cup Presented by Berkley, the second event of the fall edition of the 2024 General Tire Team Series Presented by Bass Pro Shops.
Team Star Tron’s Grae Buck and Martin Villa outshined the field of four teams for the first half of the day but were surpassed by Team REDCON1 (Ott DeFoe and Andy Montgomery) in Period 2. Both duos kept a close eye on the rearview mirror as Alton Jones and Alton Jones Jr. of Team Builders FirstSource gained momentum as the day progressed. Meanwhile, Keith Poche and Kelly Jordon of Team Knighten Industries found themselves stuck on the “struggle bus” halfway through the day.
But none of the teams was deterred, nor were the leaders resting easy, as anything could happen once a honey hole is uncovered.
