Andy Cohen has been a staple of Bravo for decades. He’s familiar with emotional goodbyes when cast members of the Real Housewives leave the show. In 2020, he said goodbye to the family dog after rehoming it.
He took to social media recently to reveal one of the hardest goodbyes. He left the apartment he’s lived in for over twenty years. Will he say goodbye to Bravo next?
Reality TV Fans Think Bachelor Star Should Take Over Bravo
Andy Cohen has been in the entertainment industry for his entire career. He got his start in broadcast journalism with CBS. He then jumped into reality TV as the Vice President of Original Programming at Bravo in 2004. He’s since become the face of the network, though he says he doesn’t have input on the casting decisions.
In addition to his executive role at the network, he also hosts all of the reunion episodes, including the famed Real Housewives reunions. Andy Cohen helps CNN’s Anderson Cooper ring in the new year every year after taking over from Kathy Griffin in 2017.
A lot of reality shows on other networks also do reunion episodes modeled after Andy Cohen’s format. Bachelor alum Nick Viall hosted the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives reunion on Hulu recently. Fans took to social media to praise his turn as host. Some fans even suggested he could take over for Andy Cohen if he really is leaving Bravo.

Andy Cohen Reveals Emotional Goodbye
Andy Cohen isn’t ready to say goodbye to Bravo just yet. However, he just made a huge change in his personal life. The TV personality sold his NYC apartment and moved to a new place with more outdoor space.
According to Bravo.com, Andy Cohen purchased the previous apartment in 2004. The three-bedroom duplex features an office, a den and several fireplaces.
The apartment recently sold, so Andy Cohen had to say his final goodbyes after living there for over twenty years. It wasn’t just the home he had to say goodbye to, but the building staff that took care of him and his two kids, Ben and Lucy, for the last two decades.
Andy Cohen took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute to everyone at his old apartment building. “The thing that’s got me feeling the most misty is saying goodbye to the incredible staff of this amazing building. Life in New York City is so unique, and one of the joys of it is the bond you build with the folks you’re around daily by virtue of where you live,” he wrote in the caption.
He opened up more about the sad goodbye on his radio show. He revealed that he wrote “a really emo” tribute to the workers.
“I think leaving the guys in my building was harder than leaving the building itself,” Andy Cohen said about leaving his old home for his new one.
