Smithtown Schools Visited By Suffolk Police, Aviation Unit
SMITHTOWN, NY — Smithtown High School East and Smithtown High School West biomedical science students were treated to a prearranged visit by the Suffolk County Police Department and the Aviation unit on April 29, the school district announced.The department’s medevac helicopter, which is registered as a "flying air ambulance," and officers, landed at Smithtown High School East to teach students about their work. The officers explained that they most often respond to medical emergencies involving trauma, such as a car crash.
