Seeking Sister Wife premiered on TLC back in 2018. The series takes a look at polygamous families, often looking to add a new partner or explore the experiences of a family as a new partner adjusts to their new life.
Seeking Sister Wife previously wrapped up its latest season in 2024. Since then, TLC has recently debuted a teaser for its next season, promising both new and returning families.

Taking to Instagram, TLC recently debuted a trailer for Seeking Sister Wife. A caption promised, “Resentment. Trust. Personal growth. Polygamy is not for the faint of heart!”
Fans could recognize a few familiar faces in the teaser. This includes the Merrifield family, which includes Garrick and Dannielle, who are welcoming a potential new wife, Lorrana, following previous heartbreaks.
Another returning family is the Davis family, made up of Nick, April, and Jenny. With the previous departure of Danielle, the family finds a possible new partner with Teresa. As seen in the trailer, the “Polygamy is not for the faint of heart!” line actually comes from Nick, as seen after he introduces April, Jennifer, and Teresa at a restaurant.
According to a press release, three new families will also be joining the show this season. This includes Reise and Billie Jean Williamson, who seek to bring in a sister wife after dealing with infertility issues.
One Scene With A Tearful Admission Especially Got Fans Talking
Meanwhile, Yessel and Dani Peralta are dealing with the fallout of a previous polygamous relationship. Finally, Matt and Anjelica Johnson see their relationship with sister wife Shanay take a turn as they try to reevaluate their relationship.
The teaser hints at what’s to come. This includes couples wondering what impact their relationship could have on kids, the fear of losing a family, wanting to explore relationships further, and even a partner wanting to change their family name.

According to the post, the new season is expected to come out on September 22, 2025. With the new teaser, fans are sharing their reactions to the post.
One moment that especially got fans talking involved Dannielle tearfully watching Garrick and Lorrana. In a tearful admission, she shared, “I’m happy for them. It just makes me feel less tied to Garrick. I don’t know why.” Some comments include:
