Jefferson Ave., AltaVida features three distinctive floors, unveiling the sights, sounds, and tastes of sensational cultural expression with inspired music, food and drink of Barcelona, Havana, Old San Juan, Guadalajara, Buenos Aires, and Rio de Janeiro. AltaVida is open daily.
Be prepared to warm up just prior to the race. Costumes are welcome, too!
11th Annual Judd-A-Thon / 10.01AM at Naperville VFW – 908 Jackson Ave. Naperville, IL 60540 / The Judd-A-Thon .1K will take place again near the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion, again to benefit the VFW National Home. The short event will go a long way to help veteran and military families when doors open at 8AM for T-Shirt Pick Late registration, t-shirt pick up, etc. / 8-9AM: Raffles, tickets, etc. / 9:45AM: Pre race warm up and ceremony to prepare for the grueling 0.1K endurance race that has become a hallmark of the fitness community in Naperville, complete with race bibs, t-shirts and goodie bags. Costumed runners and walkers are encouraged to add local color to the Judd-A-Thon. Walk to End Alzheimer’s Naperville / 8:30AM Check in at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium – 455 South Brainard St. Naperville, IL 60540 / 9:30AM Ceremony begins, walk follows. / This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. KICK CANCER IN THE CAN via head-shaving event / 2-4PM / The CAN – Cantina Bar, 634 E. Ogden Avenue / Paul Felstrup has another head full that welcomes snips and clips half way to St. Patrick’s Day, all to help raise funds for childhood cancer research. All donations will give kids and their families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
