Aaron Gordon’s brother Drew ‘dies in Portland car crash’ at age 33 as tributes for former NBA player’s sibling pour in
THE older brother of NBA star Aaron Gordon has reportedly died at the age of 33 in a car accident on Thursday.
Fans paid tribute to the late Drew Gordon, who was a former NBA player.

ESPN NBA senior writer Marc J. Spears reported that Drew’s agent Calvin Andrews confirmed to the outlet that the 33-year-old died in a car accident in Portland, Oregon.
Drew played nine games for the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2014-15 season and has since played professionally in the U.S. and overseas.
Fans gave their condolences to Aaron and the Gordon family.
“That’s awful, rip,” one fan commented.
“Rest in peace, Drew. Condolences to the Gordon family,” another fan stated.

Drew was born five years earlier than his brother Aaron.
The two went to the same high school in San Jose.
During his high school days, Drew led his team to the West Catholic Athletic Championships over four years.
He began his collegiate career at UCLA in 2008.
Two years later, Gordon transferred to New Mexico.
The California native averaged 13.7 points, 11 rebounds, and 1.2 assists during his senior campaign.
Gordon earned first-team All-MWC honors and won the MWC tournament MVP award in that season.

After going undrafted in 2012, Drew joined the Dallas Mavericks summer league team.
He was dropped from the franchise and went on to play for numerous overseas teams including the Partizan Belgrade and Dinamo Sassari.
Gordon had summer league stints with two franchises until finally getting his big break with the 76ers.
He got called up by the Philadelphia squad in 2014 and made one appearance.
However, Gordon was waived by the team shortly after.
In 2023, Drew announced his retirement from professional basketball.
His brother Aaron, who was the No. 4 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft and won an NBA title with the Nuggets last season, has yet to comment on his sibling’s death.
