Stephen A. is so confident in the Timberwolves because they have Anthony Edwards on the roster, one of the most dominant forces in the league.
“This is game seven! This is game seven!” Stephen A. shouted.
“More importantly, we got to remind our audience of this: When you don’t show up in a game seven because you just don’t have it, nobody is holding that against you because the expectation wasn’t there.
“But when you’ve had it for the most part everywhere else, but suddenly game seven arrives, that becomes your epitaph.”
Stephen A. continued his rant by comparing Edwards to some of the NBA’s biggest legends.
“We know Anthony Edwards is A1. He’s the Jordan of the Minnesota Timberwolves. He’s the Kobe of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
“We understand that Scotty Pippen wasn’t Jordan, but we got to remember that damn migraine, had that come in at game five it would not have been as memorable.
“But because it was a game seven, you religiously hold that against them.
“Like of all the games, game seven. Game seven is a different onus, it’s a different obligation.
“And Anthony Edwards, when we’re talking about you as a star my brother… you gotta be the dude that we saw.”
Fans weren’t thrilled with Stephen A’s GOAT comparisons, and asked him to let Edwards play his own game.
“Oh boy the gassing begins again. Why can’t y’all just let Ant be Ant,” one fan said.
“Can we stop using Michael Jordan name. Even Edward’s said stop. Edward’s is great leave the Michael Jordan title out,” another fan said.
“Be quiet sas. Sit back and watch,” a third fan said.
“Didn’t Ant himself just say stop comparing him to Jordan? why do these guys keep doing this..let Ant be Ant,” a fourth fan said.
