Hollyoaks star Ross Adams penned an emotional goodbye to the soap after nearly a decade.
Ross, who has played Scott Drinkwell in the Chester based soap since 2015, revealed his departure to Metro.co.uk last month.
The news came within days of Channel 4’s announcement that over 130 roles at the show’s production site in Childwall, Liverpool, would be cut.
In a UK soap first, Hollyoaks will also permanently jump one year into the future from September to facilitate the cast departures.
In his latest Instagram post, he took a picture of his call sheet and branded it his ‘last.’
He said: ‘Tomorrow, I say goodbye to Scott. Feels so weird.’

Despite the recent cast cuts on Hollyoaks, Ross confirmed that it was his decision to leave after almost 10 years.
;They [Hollyoaks] were kind enough to offer me another contract, but last year I did a documentary about adoption and I really enjoyed doing that,’ he said.
‘It was a bit of an opportunity for me to do a bit of presenting which is something I’ve always been keen to do, but also to do something as me.’
‘Many people know Scott as a character but not many people know Ross. That documentary gave me a bit of a taste for it.
After playing Scott for so long, you do get comfortable. I’d have happily stayed there forever but I think sometimes you have to push yourself.’
He continued: ‘If I’m 100% honest, with the news that we got recently about us going down to 3 episodes, it felt like maybe it was the push I needed to start and think about something else.
‘I am terrified, I really am, but it was one of those moments where I thought “it’s now or never” so I’m going to give it a try.’
