Indianapolis EYBL Recruiting Notebook
This weekend is the first live evaluation period of the grassroots season, meaning college coaches can be in the gym watching and evaluating high school talent. With this being their first opportunity of the spring to put eyes on their targets, it’s very telling as to which players the coaches are prioritizing.
On3’s Joe Tipton is courtside in Indianapolis, bringing you the latest recruitment updates and buzz on top prospects from the EYBL Session.
Five-Star Plus+ SF AJ Dybantsa
AJ Dybantsa is the No. 1 overall player in the 2025 class. The 6-foot-8 small forward out of Prolific Prep (CA) has taken college visits to Auburn and USC, but holds offers from the likes of Kentucky, Duke, Michigan, Arkansas, Kansas, UNC, Baylor, UConn, and the list goes on.
Several college coaches have watched Dybantsa play this weekend, showing him that he is a priority, including UConn’s Danny Hurley, Kentucky’s Mark Pope, USC’s Eric Musselman, Baylor’s Scott Drew, Arkansas’ John Calipari, Alabama’s Nate Oats and Auburn’s Bruce Pearl.
Dybantsa didn’t mention any specific schools he wanted to visit when interviewed postgame, but I expect Kentucky and UConn, among others, to be strong contenders here.
Five-Star Plus+ PF Cameron Boozer & 4-star PG Cayden Boozer
Cameron and Cayden Boozer are twin prospects that have become priority targets for many college programs. Cameron, a a 6-foot-8 power forward, and Cayden, a 6-foot-3 point guard, both attend Christopher Columbus High in Miami, FL.
To this point, the brothers have taken four official visits together — Florida, Miami, Duke, and Kentucky.
Duke’s Jon Scheyer, Florida’s Todd Golden, Miami’s Jim Larrañaga, Arkansas’ John Calipari, and Kentucky’s Mark Pope all watched the Boozer twins this weekend.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Calipari and Arkansas host them on a visit in the near future. It’ll be interesting to see if new Kentucky head coach Mark Pope makes a move here. Miami and Florida are expected to make strong pushes and Duke remains in the mix.
5-star SF Jalen Haralson
Jalen Haralson is the No. 11 overall prospect in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. The 6-foot-6 small forward out of La Lumiere (IN) currently has a top nine schools — Gonzaga, Duke, Missouri, Auburn, Indiana, Notre Dame, Purdue, Kansas, and Michigan State.
Michigan State’s Tom Izzo, Auburn’s Bruce Pearl, Indiana’s Mike Woodson, and others watched him this weekend, making it known he is a priority at those programs.
This recruitment is too early to call.
4-star SG Darius Adams
Darius Adams is one of the top shooting guards in the country and is a top-20 player overall. The 6-foot-4 prospect out of La Lumiere (IN) has visited Michigan State, Tennesseee, Notre Dame, and Indiana all unofficially.
It’s still fairly early in this recruitment but I believe Michigan State, Tennessee, and others will be heavily in the mix here.
4-star SG Hudson Greer
Hudson Greer is one of the rising rising prospects in the 2025 class. The 6-foot-6 wing just announced he’d be transferring to powerhouse Montverde Academy in Florida. Creighton has hosted him on an official visit and schools like Texas and Arizona have hosted him unofficially.
Greer had coaches from Duke, Ohio State, Creighton, UConn, UCLA, Michigan, Arizona and more watching his game Saturday morning. This one is too early to call.
4-star SG Kiyan Anthony
Kiyan Anthony, the son of 10x NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony, had a strong showing in Indy this weekend. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard out of Long Island Lutheran (NY) has taken official visits to Syracuse (his father’s alma mater) and Florida State. Indiana is another school in the mix.
I like Red Autry and the Orange’s chances, causing me to place a low confidence prediction (30%) for Anthony to Syracuse.
