Gwyneth Paltrow Reportedly Wanted to Have a Baby With This Forgotten A-List Ex-Boyfriend, New Book Claims

Chances are, you may have forgotten about Gwyneth Paltrow dating this A-lister, especially since she’s dated quite a few others like Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck. However, let’s take it back to 2001, when Paltrow was head over heels for Luke Wilson.
In Amy Odell’s new book, Gwyneth: The Biography, she claims that Paltrow was so in love with Wilson, that she wanted to have a baby with him.

“After her father’s death [in October 2002], Gwyneth started smoking cigarettes again, and realized she wanted to start her own family,” Odell wrote in the highly talked-about biography. “She had thought about having a baby with Luke Wilson, but, according to one of Gwyneth’s friends, he smoked a lot of pot and didn’t seem ready to be a parent.”
Now, Paltrow later admitted on The Howard Stern Show in 2018, via People, that she “sometimes” smokes weed, saying, “It’s legal now in California.”
Along with that, Wilson has actually said for years, starting in 1996 that he wanted a family. “Yeah it (starting a family) is (still a goal). I was doing press a couple of years ago and one of these journalist that I’ve known since I first got to town said to me, ‘Luke you said in 1996 that you wanted to be a father what is going on?’ My own mother doesn’t even say that but it was really funny and I didn’t realize that I’ve been talking about it for that long,” he joked to HollywoodLife back in 2019. “But yes, I definitely want to start a family. I love my niece and my nephews. And I know how much my dad loved being a father, that was one of the things that made him the most happy, so yeah, I’m 47, I’m ready for that. I need to get to work.”

For those who don’t know, Wilson and Paltrow first met in 2001 while working on The Royal Tenenbaums together. They started dating in April of that year. Per the Free Library, the pair were even considering marriage before breaking up only a few weeks after that revelation in 2002.
