Hassett Says Trump Has Trade Offers From 15 Countries

By Shane Croucher
President Donald Trump's top economic adviser said the White House now has trade offers from 15 countries.
Trump said he paused his reciprocal tariffs for 90 days on all but China, whose rate he hiked to 125 percent, to give room to negotiate with trading partners who had reached out to the White House before retaliating.
"We've already got offers on the table from...15 countries," Kevin Hassett, director of Trump's National Economic Council, told Fox & Friends on Thursday morning.
"Now that doesn't mean there's a deal...But there are specific offers on the table I've been informed from USTR of about 15 countries right now. So this is moving fast."
Hassett said Trump was already considering a pause to the tariffs, but the Treasury market volatility nudged him to make the move.
He declined to say which countries had made offers, but said he and other top Trump advisers are due to meet with the president on Thursday to present him with "a list of what we think his priorities might look like".
This is a developing story and more information will be added soon.
