Commuters on the London Underground were given a lovely surprise when it turned out pop superstar Troye Sivan was on the tube with them.
The Australian singer, 28, was spotted on the Piccadilly Line by a fan on Saturday, who later shared a selfie and a video of their encounter on social media.
In the selfie, the delighted fan posed with a big grin as Troye also smiled while wearing casual gear, including a baseball cap and headphones.
A video posted underneath the selfie showed the One of Your Girls singer engaging in conversation while (necessarily) holding onto a handrail as the train rolled along.
While the exact nature of the conversation isn’t clear in the video due to the noise of the train, the pair can be seen nodding while Troye answered questions.
In the background, commuters were observing the conversation, though it’s not entirely apparent whether they were aware of being in the presence of pop royalty.

Underneath the tweet, Troye fans from around the world couldn’t believe their eyes and admitted they were envious of the lucky fan who just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
‘Really!?’ commented @mice66668, while @sabwarnings complimented the two, saying they ‘served’ in both the selfie and the candid video which had been shot by a friend.
It’s not clear from the video which stations Troye was travelling between, with no announcements audible – the Zone 1 stations on the Piccadilly Line start at King’s Cross St. Pancras and end at Earl’s Court.

Troye broke out in the 2010s after a series of collaborations with the likes of Ariana Grande, Martin Garrix, Lauv, and Charli XCX, which saw him achieve his first UK top 10 single.
Overall his songs have spent a combined total of almost two years on the UK charts, while he’s also scored three top 10 albums.
His debut album, titled Blue Neighbourhoods, was certified Gold in the UK and was eventually certified Platinum in the US, where he has also had considerable success.
In 2023, he released his third studio album, Something to Give Each Other, which became a number one album in his home country and reached the top 20 in the UK.
Last year, the singer caused quite a stir on social media when he dropped the music video for Rush, which was described as a ‘celebration of sex, dance, and sweat’.
During the video, Troye is seen drinking alcohol, smoking, dancing, and making out with sweaty, topless boys – there’s also quite a bit of gyrating and pole-dancing.
Fans admitted at the time that the video had them feeling ‘flustered’, while also declaring that the video was their ‘idea of heaven’.
