Below Deck Down Under Season 3 was filmed in the Seychelles, but Aesha Scott was no longer the Chief Stew under Captain Jason Chambers. So instead, Lara Rigby is the boss, and teasers revealed she wasn’t all that easy to work with. Now, Bravo fans rip into her for her management style.
Season 3 Gets Fans Hot Under The Collar
It was anticipated that fans and Jason Chambers would miss Aesha, who moved back to Sandy Yawn’s Below Deck Med. But they were willing to give Lara Rigby a chance. The spoilers revealed a hectic season, and Bosun Wihan has struggled with various meltdowns and chaotic issues.

In the current Season, Stews Marina Marcondes de Barros and Stew Brianna Duffield work under Lara. However, Monsters and Critics noticed that fans are irritated with Lara’s management style because she only uses Brianna as a server. Meanwhile, Marina has been confined to “housekeeping.”
Ripped By Fans
Over on Elon Musk’s X, Below Deck Down Under fans are, indeed, complaining about Lara Rigby. One of them was aimed at Captain Jason Chambers, saying that he failed in several ways. These included:
Leaving before the three department heads had their talk.
—Not replacing Wehan.
—Lara told you she’s not rotating her stews & you said nothing.
— interfering w the guest’s luggage, but not the deck.

However, others directly slammed Lara. @its1stclassCAM wrote, “LARA FIRST OF ALL, marina didn’t corner you. she asked you very kindly if you were still gonna rotate the girls like you originally said you would. if you had no intention of doing so. you should’ve never even said it to begin with.”
Next up to complain was @tlcbravogirl, saying, “I feel like Marina is being made to be the bad guy when she really isn’t. She’s rightfully frustrated when Laura said she would rotate, and now she obviously favors Bri.” Hammering it home, they posted a thumbs-down emoji.
The Season So Far
The mix of boatmances and crew drama hasn’t disappointed the audience. Notably, Chef Tzarina also clashed with Lara. Not to mention issues arising with the new Sous Chef, Anthony Bird. Then Stew Marina got the hots for Wihan, wanting a date which created drama with Tzarina.
A jet ski accident caused mayhem with Johnny Arvanitis and a guest, and they needed a visit to a hospital. Plus, Wihan fell for deckhand Adair Werley. Then, a special day out to make up for the accident became a chaotic affair, and Lara and the Bosun clashed. Eventually, Jason had to step in and do captianly things.
