Deion Sanders feared he would die and made a will before revealing cancer diagnosis – ‘mentally, emotionally tough’
BEFORE revealing his cancer diagnosis on Monday, Deion Sanders wrote a will.
Sanders was so worried about his health issues that he thought he might not live much longer.

In a video released on Sunday night, Sanders spoke about how worried he was.
“Mentally, emotionally, last night was tough, yesterday was tough, because I had to make a will,” he said.
“That’s not easy at all, to think that you may not be here.”
At the time of the video, no one knew why Sanders wrote a will.
He revealed on Monday that it was due to a bladder cancer diagnosis.
Coach Prime underwent surgery to remove his bladder which cured his cancer.
“The process wasn’t easy,” Sanders said.
Sanders underwent the surgery while his son, Shedeur, was being drafted to the NFL.
“There was some scenes you saw, all the bull junk that’s transpired on draft day,” Sanders said.
“It wasn’t just that. It was just, I knew as well I had a surgery coming up.
“My sons, to this day, don’t know what transpired, I just told them it was something with my foot, because I wanted to give them the focus on making the team and not focused on dad.”
Sanders missed spring practices for Colorado due to his health issues, but that won’t hold him out of coaching this season.
He revealed that he will have to deal with the difficulty of needing to urinate more often.
“I depend on Depend if you know what I mean,” Sanders said.
“I cannot control my bladder. So I get up to go to the bathroom already 4-5 times a night.
“And I’m sitting there waking up like my grandson. We in the same thing.
“We got the same problem right now. We’re going through the same trials and tribulations.”
Colorado will likely have a portable toilet on the sidelines for Sanders to better manage his condition.
“It’s just totally different and I know there’s a lot of people out there going through what I am going through and dealing with what I am dealing with and let’s stop being ashamed of it and let’s deal with it,” he said.
“And let’s deal with it head on.”
