Daycare employees put soap in 4-year-old's mouth after he said a bad word, was told to do so by his mother: 'It was probably his first time and he was probably confused, in pain, scared and crying'
I had a potty mouth when I was a kid, and to be honest, I've still got one. I come from a family of swearers, and when I was in the 6th grade, I watched all 15 South Park seasons (at the time) on my unsupervised laptop. The latter turned me into an expert in sailor talk without the wisdom to know when to stop talking like that. My mom would tell me to knock it off, and I would get so indignant that she got to swear all she wanted because she was a grown-up, and I couldn't because I was 12. But alas, we've set up society so that kids have fewer freedoms, and one of the freedoms they're barred from is saying f*** without consequences. Even if a kid swears, it doesn't give you the right to do the 1950s soap punishment on them. One daycare (and mother) didn't get that memo.
