Tim McGraw's Boston Concert Rescheduled for Bruins Playoff Game at TD Garden
Boston's very own Bruins' latest victory on the ice has knocked country singer Tim McGraw's concert calendar into the boards. McGraw's originally scheduled May 10 performance at Boston's TD Garden, thanks to the Bruins' home advantage in the NHL playoffs against the Florida Panthers.
Making way for pucks and sticks, the "Shotgun Rider" singer's show will now croon on Wednesday, May 8, officials from TD Garden announced. The rescheduling came out of left field, or rather, out of the rink, as the country crooner's fans learned their weekend plans were iced less than a week before McGraw was set to take the stage. Those unable to make the new date can get refunds from their ticket retailers, TD Garden's website made clear.
Tickets are still up for grabs, and buyers looking to snag a seat can cowboy up with verified resale tickets on VividSeats going for as low as $48, or they can boot-scoot over to StubHub, where prices start at a modest $74, MassLive reported Sunday morning.
The rescheduling blues come hot on the heels of the Bruins' skin-of-their-teeth Game 7 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs this past Saturday, catapulting them into the spotlight to face the Panthers. The clash on the ice was set to collide with McGraw’s Standing Room Only Tour, named after his latest Grammy-worthy album released in August 2023, according to CBS Boston. But in the end, the rink took the cake, and McGraw fans will need adjust their spurs accordingly.
No doubt Boston's country crowd will be keeping one eye on the puck drop and the other on the stage lights come Wednesday night. In the meantime, McGraw's team and TD Garden are working to ensure the transition is smooth as Tennessee whiskey for fans and ticket holders alike.
