Auburn Camp Insider: The latest on priority camp recruiting targets
Auburn had several top targets on campus this week. The latest intel notes on priority recruiting targets from Auburn’s 7-on-7 camps.
S – Eric Winters, Enterprise, Ala.
We have talked to as many sources as we can about Eric Winters. He is up against a big decision with three schools still alive for his commitment. We have gathered a few things from digging..
Georgia very well may have overtaken Auburn at one point–in fact, that could still be the case. However, it feels like Auburn is still able to win out here. Georgia had a scavenger hunt event (much like Auburn’s Big Cat Weekend) and Winters did not attend. Whether or not he was invited is unknown.
Several sources at Auburn continue to have some confidence that Winters will stay in-state. The staff have had all hands on deck in this recruitment and the buzz coming out of camp says that Auburn may have regained Winters’ full attention. Auburn will get the last official visit with him and we think that is important as well.
QB – Julian Lewis, Carrollton, Ga.
Again, Auburn Live checked with as many sources as possible on Lewis. The bottom line (according to our intel): Lewis’ camp remains undecided at this point. There is no clear frontrunner, it seems. Yes, he is committed to USC, but Colorado and Auburn are very realistic options.
There is differing confidence from different sources on this. A few sources have growing confidence that Lewis will land at Auburn. Others still approach this recruitment with extreme caution and have much lower confidence. In trying to read the situation, it still has not become clear what Lewis might do. The only clear thing was that Indiana probably has the lowest chance of the four schools (Indiana, Colorado, Auburn, USC).
Edge – Zion Grady, Enterprise, Ala.
There is a lot of Miami buzz around Grady. According to our intel, there is good reason for this, but there is a thought that Auburn is also heavily in the mix. Grady is currently visiting Florida State, but will visit Auburn more before making a decision. Also, our intel suggests that Grady and Winters are closer than once perceived. If Auburn were to land Winters, would it help with Grady? We think so. Having said that, the two are not deliberately working to go to the same school. Grady has visited Auburn multiple times since January and will continue to do so. He has his Auburn official visit starting Monday. We are not counting Auburn out of this one for now.
Edge – Jared Smith, Hoover, Ala., Thompson
Smith has not been talked about too much, and for good reason. He was a prospect that Auburn wanted to see in person before making a big move for. Why? He changed schools mid-season and also shot up out of nowhere. So, the staff wanted to do due diligence here. After seeing him in person during spring, Smith shot to the top of the prospect board for the Tigers. Now, Auburn is working to make a major move. So far so good, it sounds.
Smith will attend Big Cat Weekend and is working on setting up his official visit for in-season. Also, according to our intel, Auburn has shot up his list in the last month. South Carolina, USC, Ole Miss, and Georgia are others heavily involved.
CB – Shamar Arnoux, Carrollton, Ga.
Arnoux will officially visit on the last OV weekend, June 14. He was a top camper in the Auburn 7-on-7 tournament. His team came away with the trophy and he was a big reason. Arnoux had a few interceptions and caught the attention of a few coaches at Auburn, including Hugh Freeze. Arnoux was seen having one-on-one conversations with Freeze. Is he a take for Auburn? It’s not entirely clear, especially with three corner commits now. But, it is clear that Auburn is highly intrigued by him.
TE – Hollis Davidson, Peachtree, Ga., McIntosh
Davidson is the only non-blue chip recruit on this list, but he didn’t look that way at camp. Auburn took notice, too. To be clear, Auburn already had Davidson high on the list and wanted to keep him in the fold. Davidson had other plans, though. He wants to remain open and take his time. He decided to do so while not being committed–makes sense.
According to our intel, Davidson took his Auburn visit after changing some official visit plans around. After leaving the visit and camp, he felt as though he was still committed. He was blown away by how he was treated, and his parents may have been even more impressed. Auburn is right back in the thick of this regardless of him keeping things open. Auburn continues to hold him in high regard and would take him back without a doubt.
2026 WR/TE – Cederian Morgan, Alexander City, Ala., Benjamin Russell
There was not a more impressive camper at Auburn than Morgan, period. The former teammate of Auburn wide receiver Malcolm Simmons was flashy. He was being covered by high-profile recruits such as Eric Winters and others. He was unstoppable. Is Morgan a receiver? A tight end? Does it matter to Auburn? No. Auburn receivers coach Marcus Davis and tight ends coach Ben Aigamaua were both seen chatting with Morgan. Expect Auburn to turn up the heat on this recruitment.
2026 OL – Parker Pritchett, Seale, Ala., Carver
Auburn offered Pritchett earlier this year. After seeing him in camp, Pritchett is making a big move on the Auburn offensive line board for 2026. The Tigers, at this point, would surely take Pritchett according to our intel. With Pritchett, we think Auburn will be high on his list as well. This could be one to watch in the coming months. Pritchett’s older brother, Tyler Pritchett, played offensive line for North Carolina.
Malik Autry and Jourdin Crawford
Both of Auburn’s defensive line commit have been taking visits elsewhere, but Auburn has a high level of confidence that both will stick with their commitments. Both worked out with Vontrell King-Williams on Thursday. We are told that they were both exceptional and continue to impress the Auburn staff.
