Pet Vaccine Clinic Available To Harford County Residents
JOPPA, MD — Pet owners can take advantage of an affordable pet vaccine clinic that will take place in Joppa.Sponsored by the Humane Society of Harford County, the clinic will take place Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, 1403 Old Mountain Rd. S., Joppa. Vaccines, microchips and nail trims will be administered on a first come, first-served basis, and appointments are not required. Payment is via cash or a major credit card. “Our clinics are for everyone, regardless of zip code or income level,” said Erin Long, manager of marketing and development at HSHC. “Our goal is to offer affordable core vaccines to protect pets from illness and disease. And since we don’t offer annual exams at our clinics, we still highly recommend a yearly wellness visit with a veterinarian.” The clinic will offer distemper and Bordetella for dogs, distemper for cats and rabies vaccines for dogs, cat and ferrets. Vaccines are $10 each. Pets can also be microchipped at the clinic for $25. In addition, special guest Heart to Heart Mobile Pet Care, LLC, will be onsite, offering nail trims for $20 per animal. “Our team is looking forward to being in the Joppatowne community, supporting pet owners and safeguarding their pets,” Long added. “It feels good to know that pets we’re microchipping today could end up lost and in the shelter tomorrow, and we’ll be able to quickly locate their family and get them back home where they belong.” Animals must be at least four months old to be vaccinated.
