Denise Richards has recently made accusations against one of her exes, claiming that she had endured different forms of physical abuse. Richards shared a few different alleged incidents concerning the ex, including claims that things have also been stolen from her. This all came out during a recent court appearance, in which Richards asked for protection against her ex.

Richards is known for her work as an actress, model, and television personality. As an actress, she is known for appearing in Starship Troopers and the James Bond film The World Is Not Enough. She is also known for playing Shauna Fulton on The Bold and the Beautiful.
For reality television fans, Richards is also known for appearing on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Denise Richards: It’s Complicated, and Denise Richards & Her Wild Things. In her personal life, she is known for her marriages to Charlie Sheen and Aaron Phypers.

As shared by Us Weekly, Richards recently made allegations against Phypers during a recent court plea. Reportedly, Richards had asked for protection against her ex-husband, accusing him of physically abusing her during their marriage.
Richards and Phypers were married in 2018. However, Phypers filed for divorce from Richards in early July 2025.
According to recent court documents, Richards asked for protection from Phypers on July 16. Richards reportedly told the court, “Throughout our relationship, Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack, threaten to kill me, hold me down with his knee on my back to the point where I would have to plead with him to get off me so that he would not kill me and hack into my laptop and phone and download all of my text messages.”

Richards continued, “Aaron regularly threatened to ‘break my jaw’ and would cry, beg me to stay, and promise to get help. None of which ever happened.” Richards then accused her ex of giving her at least three concussions. She claimed he also told her that he had recorded her when she was alone while at hotels and townhouses.
The court documents also contained various alleged altercations between Richards and Phypers. Recounting a time when he and his father appeared at her townhouse, Richards claimed, “Aaron repeatedly grabbed my left arm tightly.” She claimed that later in the day, he grabbed her arms, pushed her, and dragged her to the ground.

Richards added, “I landed on the stairs, causing immense pain. Aaron stole my laptop and sent private messages he had stolen from my laptop without my permission.” She also claimed, “Aaron threatened that I would ‘disappear’ if I called the police.”
Richards also claimed that she moved out of the family home in 2023 due to marital issues and has since leased three townhouses. Saying she was the only person on the lease, Richards noted that Phypers repeatedly entered the townhouses despite being told he wasn’t allowed there.
Richards also reportedly included photos of a black eye with the filing. She claimed that Phypers struck her in the eye.
Speaking to the court, Richards has asked that Phypers be kept 100 yards away from her. She also asked him to return her laptops and data downloaded from her phone.
