Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns won’t have to travel too far for some of the best football players in the 2026 class. On3 updated its 2026 recruiting rankings on Monday and 14 players from the state of Texas rank within the top 100, including Longhorns commit and Aledo (Texas) running back Raycine Guillory.

Guillory, the only player committed in the 2026 class, checked in as the No. 98 overall prospect.
Overall, 42 players from the Texas high school football ranks were within the latest On300. The highest-ranked prospect was Fort Worth (Texas) North Crowley OL John Turntine, who could be the best prospect from the Lone Star State regardless of classification.
In addition to the Texans in the top 300, there are elite prospects from across the country the Longhorns are involved with. Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver and Ohio State commit Chris Henry Jr. was the No. 2 overall prospect. Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic DB Blaine Bradford was the No. 1 safety and the No. 10 overall prospect. Bradford visited Texas twice during the spring of 2024.
Top 2026 quarterback targets found themselves ranked within the top 100. Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage’s Dia Bell was the No. 14 overall prospect and the No. 2 quarterback. San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills’ Troy Huhn was the No. 60 overall prospect.
Six of the fourteen Texans in the top 100 were running backs within driving distance for Tashard Choice. In addition to Guillory at No. 98, Forney (Texas) rusher Javian Osborne was the No. 23 overall prospect, Cibolo (Texas) Steele’s Jonathan Hatton was No. 47, Frisco (Texas) Lone Star’s Davian Groce was the No. 59 overall prospect, Texarkana (Texas) Texas High’s Tradarian Ball was the No. 75 overall prospect, and Carthage (Texas) rusher KJ Edwards was ranked as the No. 87 overall prospect.
The Longhorns’ 2026 recruiting class is currently unranked due to having just one pledge.
